WHAT OUR CLIENTS
SAY ABOUT WHIGMALEERIE
Bunchrew House Hotel, Inverness.
We just wanted to pass
on our thanks and gratitude to the band for helping to make our wedding
day so special. You guys were great on the night and everyone commented
on how much fun they had on the night, especially during the ceilidh
music (you guys were extremely patient..!!).
And our first song could not have gone any better, we both really
appreciated that you took the time to learn the song and we thought that
overall performance was excellent on the night!

We just wanted to say a
HUGE thank you for playing at our wedding. We enjoyed every minute of it
and our guests couldn't stop saying how great the band was. It was great
to see the dance floor so busy for every song! Thank you again for
playing and for all the emails! We can't believe it is all over.
We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

"We had an amazing night and loved watching how much everyone
else at our reception loved dancing the night away, even four
months on everyone is still speaking about the night and how much
they enjoyed it.
We knew as soon as we came along to a viewing that you were the
band for us and couldnít wait to actually have you playing at our
wedding reception. Your help in the lead up certainly helped to
keep me calm and under control which is much appreciated. On the
night we had a few people there that didnít really know very many
of the Scottish dances but they were soon put at ease when they
saw you talking people through the dances and then we couldnít get
them off of the dance floor, they just loved every minute. My
brother and his fiancťe had come over from New Zealand for the big
day and my brother was in his element all night dancing away to
the Scottish music, never off the dance floor and said thatís what
a proper ceilidh band sounds like.
The range of music you played is amazing and caters for every need
and at some point every single person at the function was up
dancing the night away, there was also a few bruises on arms from
people getting too carried away with the music and swinging each
other round but all said the next day they were worth it as an
amazing night was had by them all and they keep asking when we are
having the next party. We were especially chuffed because you
allowed a close friend of ours to sing our first dance after you
had played the grand march before playing again, this made it all
the more magical for my husband and I. Also the wide range of
music especially touched me as my new step son came up to you and
requested a Take That/Robbie song and you played one of my
favourite Robbie songs which I danced with Jordan and it was one
of those moments I will never forget and means a lot to us both.
A huge thank you to everyone in the band, we certainly wouldnít
have had the wedding day we dreamed of if it hadnít been for your
band, you certainly made the night amazing for us and we will
never forget it and have numerous videos people took during the
night which just shows how good a time everyone was having.
We will certainly keep you in mind for any events we have coming
up and will recommend you to everyone we know who should need a
band for a special occasion.
Thank you so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so
so so so so so so so so so so so so so much, you were perfect."

"Been meaning to
email you last week and thank you but there seems to be a
post wedding rush on as well as the pre wedding rush.
We had a great
wedding night and everyone we have spoke said the band were
brilliant and we couldn't agree more. Thanks again for making our

"I just wanted to say thanks so much for playing
such a great set and really entertaining our guests at our wedding.
Please pass my thanks on to everyone else in the band too. You were
really, really good (and remarkably patient with the many English
people there who had never been to a ceilidh before!)
I also really appreciate you letting my band play your instruments -
it was a real moment for me to be able to play at my own wedding
(although the instruments didn't sound half as good in our hands as
they did in yours!)
Janine and I had a fantastic wedding day and are still smiling about
it now - so thanks again for the part you played in making it all go
so well. We will definitely recommend you to our friends!"

"The meal provided at
the ball was absolutely first class as always - what a glorious spread
and all for £18.50. This was inclusive of musical entertainment
provided by a 5 piece band called Whigmaleerie. What a night we had -
made even better by the amount of English visitors, resident for the
local ski-ing, all of whom on more than one occasion told our party
that they had never enjoyed themselves so much for years. Well done
Whigmaleerie and Management take note - they are definitely worth a

Reception, Wester Balmungie,
Just a quick email to say thanks very much for last Saturday! You and
the rest of the band were fantastic, we'd certainly recommend you
and we've had many people come up and say how much they enjoyed the
band. It was lovely to see so many people (who I didn't expect to be
up on the floor) dancing their socks off! I hope you got enough to eat
and also that you got stuck into the stovies, I feel bad for not
making sure of this!?!
Please say thanks to everyone else for us too,

Aberdeen, says the following about WHIGMALEERIE:
"They are a superb
five-piece band with musicians who have performed prolifically on the
Scottish popular music and ceilidh scene for many years, adapting
their material for all occasions and age groups. The band line-up
consists of fiddle, keyboards, drums, guitars and vocals. Their
repertoire covers a wealth of material. Their popular sets include
plenty of popular songs spanning from the mid 50ís through the 60's
and 70's, and selected top hits from the 80's, 90's and this century;
their versatility allows them to also feature country, folk, country
rock from their large selection of songs and music. On the ceilidh
front, they play all the popular Scottish country dances and they also
call the dances to help those in the audience not familiar with the
steps. In addition, they can also play a selection of traditional
music from Ireland and Scotland which is always well received.
WHIGMALEERIE have performed at literally hundreds of festivals,
marquees, events, weddings, private parties and ceilidhs throughout
Scotland, and their lively, energetic music coupled with their on and
off-stage humour make this band popular wherever they perform."
