"We had an amazing night and loved watching how much everyone else at our reception loved dancing the night away, even four months on everyone is still speaking about the night and how much they enjoyed it.

We knew as soon as we came along to a viewing that you were the band for us and couldn’t wait to actually have you playing at our wedding reception. Your help in the lead up certainly helped to keep me calm and under control which is much appreciated. On the night we had a few people there that didn’t really know very many of the Scottish dances but they were soon put at ease when they saw you talking people through the dances and then we couldn’t get them off of the dance floor, they just loved every minute. My brother and his fiancée had come over from New Zealand for the big day and my brother was in his element all night dancing away to the Scottish music, never off the dance floor and said that’s what a proper ceilidh band sounds like.

The range of music you played is amazing and caters for every need and at some point every single person at the function was up dancing the night away, there was also a few bruises on arms from people getting too carried away with the music and swinging each other round but all said the next day they were worth it as an amazing night was had by them all and they keep asking when we are having the next party. We were especially chuffed because you allowed a close friend of ours to sing our first dance after you had played the grand march before playing again, this made it all the more magical for my husband and I. Also the wide range of music especially touched me as my new step son came up to you and requested a Take That/Robbie song and you played one of my favourite Robbie songs which I danced with Jordan and it was one of those moments I will never forget and means a lot to us both.

A huge thank you to everyone in the band, we certainly wouldn’t have had the wedding day we dreamed of if it hadn’t been for your band, you certainly made the night amazing for us and we will never forget it and have numerous videos people took during the night which just shows how good a time everyone was having.

We will certainly keep you in mind for any events we have coming up and will recommend you to everyone we know who should need a band for a special occasion.

"The meal provided at the ball was absolutely first class as always - what a glorious spread and all for £18.50. This was inclusive of musical entertainment provided by a 5 piece band called Whigmaleerie. What a night we had - made even better by the amount of English visitors, resident for the local ski-ing, all of whom on more than one occasion told our party that they had never enjoyed themselves so much for years. Well done Whigmaleerie and Management take note - they are definitely worth a regular spot!"

"They are a superb five-piece band with musicians who have performed prolifically on the Scottish popular music and ceilidh scene for many years, adapting their material for all occasions and age groups. "Although we live in Nottingham, Jo is originally from Inverurie and wanted to have her wedding back in Aberdeen. We took a chance on booking Whigmaleerie for our reception at Norwood Hall Hotel as we were unable to view them and were, to be honest, a bit apprehensive.
